Your role and responsibilities would include:

The appointees will be required to moderate a sample of scripts in relation to selected modules within the above programmes. You will also be required to produce an annual report and attend Assessment Boards as appropriate. We are looking for a dedicated individual to undertake the role of Undergraduate Departmental Apprenticeship External Examiner for our Department of Management at Sheffield Hallam University.
The Department of Management is the largest department in the university and has a substantial apprenticeship offer in leadership and management including the Chartered Manager Degree Apprenticeship, Retail Leaders Degree Apprenticeship and Senior Leaders Apprenticeship with the university being rated as a ‘Good Provider’ by Ofsted in 2022. In addition to our Course External Examiners, we are looking for a Departmental Apprenticeship External Examiner (Undergraduate provision only) to oversee the apprenticeship provision. Knowledge of Ofsted’s Education Inspection Framework, Further Education and Skills Handbook would be advantageous in undertaking the role. A knowledge of Degree Apprenticeships, in particular the Chartered Manager Apprenticeship and Retail Leaders Standard would be of value.
