Placement Experiences and Issues for BAME Health and Social Care Students

A workshop to discuss issues that BAME students face on placement and how to covercome these issues.
ProfessorJulie Nightingale and Jackie Parkin will present findings from focus groups held at SHU in relation to issues students face on placement as well as ongoing work.

BAME practice partners from Rotherham NHS Foundation Trust are delivering an informal talk on issues that they have faced during training and in their career as well as overcoming barriers.

Informal talk by a 3rd year student nurse in relation to her placement experiences so far.

This workshop is open to all students and lecturers from a health and social care background .
