New! Autumn CPD Programme

The Academic Development & Diversity Team are delighted to launch its online Autumn Continuous Professional Development (CPD) programme. All the events are free and open to both Academic and Professional Services staff.

Key highlights of the CPD programme include:

New Race Equity programme

Part of our continuing work, introducing staff to key conversations about race and changing cultures which the NUS/UUK report identifies as one of the five key steps to closing the degree awarding gap. Drawing on a range of sources including existing literature, sector practice and work currently being undertaken at Hallam, we aim to engage staff in interactive, reflective practices which will provide a foundation for developing an inclusive and dynamic teaching and learning environment.

Taking place during November and December, topics include ‘ Why Race? and Other Stories’, ‘Race Equality Detours’, ‘Developing our Cultural Competence ’, ‘Developing Cultural Competence in Students’ and ‘Closing the Attitude Gap’. For more information about the programme and how to book, go to our Narrowing the Gaps website.
