The tutor and development teams consist of academics specialising in teacher education and practitioners working in the field:<\/p>\n

Tutors<\/strong><\/h2>\n

\"RP\"<\/a>Richard Pountney<\/strong> leads Curriculum Development and Mentor Education in the Teacher Education Department in the Sheffield Institute of Education<\/a> at Sheffield Hallam University. He teaches on the Masters in Education, and the Education Doctorate courses. Richard leads the mentor training for the Chartered Teacher Programme<\/a> run by the Chartered College of Teaching<\/a>.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a>Helen Harrison<\/strong> is the Primary strategic lead for Doncaster ITT Partnership<\/a>, part of Partners in Learning Teaching School Alliance<\/a>. She is currently a practising head teacher in a Doncaster school. Her interest and active involvement in ITT has been a strong feature of her professional working life. Helen has developed partnerships with a range of teacher training establishments; has encouraged and trained teachers as mentors and taken every opportunity to be actively involved in supporting and training future teachers.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a>Bex Turner-Loisel<\/strong> is the Programmes Lead for the Yorkshire Three Counties Alliance<\/a> SCITT.\u00a0 In her previous post, she was involved with mentoring as a Teach First Professional Mentor, Senior Mentor Coordinator and Induction Tutor as well as developing and delivering in-house mentor training and quality assuring provision for a range of Primary and Secondary settings.\u00a0 She is a Specialist Leader of Education for ITT and NQT for Learners First<\/a>\u00a0and has delivered training for mentors at Sheffield Hallam University<\/a>.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a>Heather Wain <\/span><\/strong>is <\/span>Head of Academic Development in the<\/span> Sheffield Institute of Education<\/a>.\u00a0 Prior to this she was a professional developer and engaged in knowledge transfer and CPD. \u00a0She has extensive experience in secondary schools at middle and senior management and now teaches on the BSc with Education and QTS degree<\/a> with a specialisms in physics education and an oversight of the professional studies curriculum.<\/span><\/p>\n

\"adrian<\/a>Adrian Fearn <\/strong>is University link tutor in the Sheffield Institute of Education and works in partnership with schools in the region to support trainees professional development whilst on school placements. He teaches professional studies in PGCE and BA courses.<\/p>\n

Fiona Heath<\/strong> is the strategic lead for Sheffield South East Learning Partnership<\/a> (SSEL\"\"<\/a>P) School Direct and is a Specialist Leader of Education for primary maths. She also works closely with South Yorkshire Maths Hub<\/a> as a Working Group Lead and is an Associate Lecturer for Sheffield Hallam University. Fiona is an experienced classroom practitioner and teaches at a primary school in Sheffield.<\/p>\n

Development Team (workbook resources)<\/strong><\/h2>\n

Richard Pountney<\/strong> (see above) led the development of the SHOOC and the resources, and Workbook 1: Induction and Introduction<\/em>.<\/p>\n

Adrian Fearn<\/strong> (see above) led the development of Workbook 3: Developing Mentees\u2019 Professionalism<\/em>.<\/p>\n

David Darwent<\/strong> led the development of Workbook 5: Mentors, Mentees and Professional Development<\/em>. He leads Post 16 Professional Practice modules and Mentor Training, and is a tutor to PGCE and Certificate \"Dave<\/a>of Education trainees in the Teacher Education Department in the Sheffield Institute of Education at Sheffield Hallam University.<\/p>\n

\"Helen<\/a>Helen Wriglesworth<\/strong>\u00a0 led the development of Workbook 2: Modelling & Developing Professional Relationships<\/em>. She is a Specialist Leader of Education and School Direct Primary Lead with Delta Teaching School Alliance which is part of Delta Academies Trust<\/a>. She is an experienced primary practitioner and works across the region supporting teaching and learning and also leads mentor development to support outstanding progress for ITT trainees on the School Direct programme.<\/p>\n

\"alison<\/a>Alison Grasmeder<\/strong> led the development of the case studies in each of the five workbooks. She is Geography PDGE Lead Tutor\u00a0 at The University of Sheffield<\/a>. Until recently she was a Specialist Leader of Education and Quality Lead and Secondary Lead Practitioner for ITT for Learners First<\/a>, ensuring the quality of trainee experiences across Rotherham schools, and has been a Senior Mentor Co-ordinator for the last 10 years. She was Head of Psychology and Secondary Lead Practitioner for ITT, NQT and induction of new staff at Dinnington High School<\/a>.<\/p>\n

\"Jenny<\/a>Jenny Kurobasa <\/strong>led the development of Workbook 4:\u00a0<\/strong>Supporting & Guiding Mentees<\/em>.<\/strong> She is Senior Lecturer in Secondary Education in the Sheffield Institute of Education and works closely with mentors in schools.<\/p>\n

\"MatthewWheeler\"<\/a>
\nMatthew Wheeler <\/strong>is ePortfolio Consultant at Pebblepad<\/a> with experience of a number of project management and research roles within UK universities. His pedagogic research focuses on the future of learning and how technology can shape that experience. His consultancy roles include international governments, the British Armed Forces and some of the world\u2019s largest FTSE 100 and Fortune 500 companies.<\/p>\n

The development of the Enhance your Mentoring Skills SHOOC is guided by an Advisory Group.<\/p>\n
