We’re now using the latest version of Office – Microsoft Office 365 ProPlus – which is based on Office 2016 but is continually updated with new features.<\/p>\n
It is the same version people can use on their own devices at home\u00a0because our license allows every student and member of staff to download free up to 5 installs of Microsoft Office on their own equipment to use while they are at the University. It is also compatible with the online version of office which can be accessed from any browser. Both the install files for personal devices and the online version of Office are available from https:\/\/go.shu.ac.uk\/office365<\/a>.<\/p>\n Microsoft Office applications are available from the start menu, with the most popular applications being pinned to the Start Menu.<\/p>\n Working with Office documents in OneDrive.<\/strong><\/p>\n Microsoft Office 365 ProPlus allows you easily save and retrieve files to and from your Sheffield Hallam University OneDrive storage.<\/p>\n In order to save a newly created file from your OneDrive storage you need to select File, Save As and then select the location \u2018OneDrive \u2013 Sheffield Hallam University\u2019. This will allow you to enter a new name for the document and select a folder where the file should be saved to.<\/p>\n Once completed the file will be automatically available from any Windows 10 Managed Desktop workstation and personal devices once you have connected to your Sheffield Hallam University OneDrive storage.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n
