September of 2016. \u2018Leading the Way\u2019 was the overarching conference theme but\u00a0had a number of sub-themes within its programme<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>terminology harmonisation<\/li>\n<li>international perspectives on advanced practice<\/li>\n<li>managing an advanced practice service<\/li>\n<li>scope of practice and role creep<\/li>\n<li>impact on practice\/service<\/li>\n<li>advanced practice research<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/blogs.shu.ac.uk\/ltwrapconference\/files\/2016\/02\/Pennine.jpg?ssl=1\"><img have\u00a0the support of the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.sor.org\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">College of Radiographers (UK),<\/a> <a href=\"http:\/\/www.camrt.ca\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Canadian Association of Medical Radiation Technologists<\/a> (CAMRT), the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.air.asn.au\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Australian Institute of Radiography<\/a> (AIR),\u00a0the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.nzimrt.co.nz\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">New Zealand Institute of Medical Radiation Technology <\/a>(NZIMRT), the\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.isrrt.org\/isrrt\/default.asp\">International Society of Radiographers &amp; Radiological Technologists<\/a> (ISRRT) and the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.srpeweb.org\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Society of Radiology Physicians Extenders <\/a>(SRPE)\u00a0in hosting this conference.<\/p>\n<p>The conference had an exciting blend of keynote lectures and invited speakers, proffered papers and posters, workshops and conference debates all planned to both stimulate and inspire delegates.
