Conference Blog

Welcome to the Conference Blog!

This is a multi-authored blog which provides a valuable opportunity for colleagues all across the university to reflect on the conference themes and share ideas in this online format. It is a good way to develop your skills as a writer and engage with a wider (public) audience. The style and tone of writing is a lot more relaxed than formal academic writing and many academics find it a useful way of sharing information or testing ideas.

If you think you might be interested in having a go at blogging, there are three opportunities for you to blog as part of the conference:

1.       In advance of the conference: Are there any sessions on the programme that have caught your eye? Why, what are you hoping to learn and how will you apply it to your work?

2.       At the conference: On the day, we will have a Live Blog Station where invited bloggers will capture their experiences of the day in dedicated/bookable half hour slots

3.       After the conference: Did you see a session on the day that has inspired you to change your practice? How will you go about it?

We can offer training in ‘writing for blogs’ if you feel you need some support.
