World Mental Health Day 10 October
We all need to look after our mental health, just as we do our physical health. Wednesday 10 October is World Mental Health Day and the theme this year is ‘Young people and mental health in a changing world’, so it’s a great opportunity to show your support for better mental health and make sure you’re looking after your own wellbeing.

Sheffield Hallam has events at both campuses in celebration of the day so why not come along?

Street Wisdom Mindfulness Walking Taster, 2-4pm, Hallam Square, City Campus
The chance to learn ways of walking mindfully in the streets around the University. Through some simple exercises – it also offers the chance to explore and discover answers to your questions, as you walk. Read more info and book a place here.

Sheffield IAPT, 12-2pm, Ground Floor, Heart of the Campus, Collegiate Campus
A stand with information on IAPT (Improving Access to Psychological Therapies) support in Sheffield and wellbeing sessions at SHU.

Wellbeing stand, 12-2pm, Level 4, Adsetts, City Campus
Student Wellbeing staff will be running activities to help you enhance your wellbeing.

Mindfulness and 5 Ways to Wellbeing, 3-4pm, Multifaith Chaplaincy, Level 2 Owen, City Campus
A group session where you can find out why the 5 ways to wellbeing are essential to keep us mentally healthy. Learn about simple things that you can do to incorporate them into your weekly schedule. Book on UniHub here.
