You say… When I book a table or room…

…there are always people occupying it. These people tend to be first year students who don’t know how the system works. They just sit anywhere and do their work then seem annoyed and angry when I ask them to move. The one thing that would warn them that someone will be coming to take the table is the PC – sadly the PC’s are never switched on so they have no idea that the table isn’t available. This is why I suggest maybe some signs on the wall?
We say…
We understand this can cause awkward situations, so to help ease this we’re starting to put new notices on bookable tables and rooms to remind everyone that even though a bookable space may look available it may not be and you could be asked to move.
If you try to log in to a PC in a booked space, there will be a message on screen to let you know the space is reserved.
If you’d like to book a PC or resource, find out how to do it here on MyHallam.
