University teaching spaces include a networked PC in the lectern or rack system.
This PC can be readily used with the projector or screens within the room. The PCs feature the same core software and capabilities as the majority of PCs around the university and can be used to display lecture slides, web pages, videos, software packages, etc.
Cable points allow other devices to be used with the projector and screens, including laptops and mobile devices, such as tablets, enabling the use of more specialist software within the session, such as by displaying content from a mobile app, or makes it easier to get students to present their work by connecting their own device. A control panel on the lectern allows rapid switching between different devices throughout the session.
Information about connecting devices to the lectern and displaying information through the projector can be found in the Teaching Room User Guide.
