FE Partnerships Strategy – Following the meeting, Conor Moss has appointed Peter Grover to establish a task and finish group to further develop the FE Partnerships strategy paper. This will be presented at the November board.
Global Engagement Business Case
The board received a presentation of the Global Engagement Business Case and approved funding for a CARA Fellow.
Following the presentation the programme of work has been revised and costs refined, which have been approved by Chair’s action.
Regional Engagement and Profile Update
Karen Bryan presented an update on progress towards delivering regional engagement.
Sheffield Hallam Student Union Volunteering
The Board were informed that initial discussions on the institution’s approach to volunteering have taken place with the students’ union. A Task and Finish Group was proposed to progress the work and to ensure that any proposals made dovetail with the Hallam Award.
Enterprise and Innovation Hub Business Case
The Board received the Business Case for the Enterprise Innovation Hub. Agreement was given for the principle of creating the Hub. Roger Eccleston will be the Senior Responsible Owner who was authorised to work with FD to complete further work on a feasibility study that will take into account all space options across the estate.
South Yorkshire Futures (SYF) Business Case The Board received the South Yorkshire Futures Business Case. The programme of work was agreed. Planning, reporting and governance arrangements will now be established.
