This scheme provides an opportunity for academic staff in faculties to work with LEAD specialists to develop and disseminate a learning enhancement initiative. The scheme aims to provide both a developmental opportunity for the individual and to identify and promote good practice, supporting wider adoption and robust evaluation.
The designation ‘Lead Associate’ lasts for one year and would enable you to develop your formal profile in teaching and learning. This would add value to your curriculum vitae and would support a range of career development and professional recognition opportunities, including HEA Senior/Principal Fellow; National Teaching Fellow; Reader/Professor as appropriate.
Some of the benefits of the scheme include:
- access to a range of central expertise to support high quality project outcomes;
- opportunities to participate in and shadow LEAD projects and/or individuals to develop experience of central, strategic working;
- mentoring and dialogue with individuals with substantial LTA and TEL development experience and expertise, including approaches to scaling up project outcomes;
- facilitation of cross-faculty and inter-institutional collaboration and dissemination via LEAD networks and contacts.
If you are interested in applying for this scheme you should try to attend a workshop (normally held in November). There will be an all-staff announcement and the workshop date will be put into the TALENT calendar or you can contact firstname.lastname@example.org
