The University is upgrading all its SharePoint sites – including intranet pages – to a new version which sits in the cloud. This work is happening area by area and will take place over the course of the next few weeks. While the sequence of migrations is progressing, you may find some of the links in existing SharePoint pages don’t work as that content has been moved to the new version. You will also find that searching the home page of the staff intranet won’t return results from newly migrated sites so you may need to search both areas separately for information. This will be resolved when all sites sit together in the cloud.
If you have bookmarked links and favourites you may find that you need to replace them with a new URL.
The first area to move to SharePoint online will be Facilities Directorate. From 2 April, you will be able to navigate to the new FD site from the Staff intranet homepage. The first time you visit it you will need to login using the format email@example.com (where username is your normal university login code).
If you cannot find the content you are looking for in the new site, please contact the IT service desk and they will escalate your enquiry to the Enterprise Application Team for investigation.
