Sheffield Hallam University’s Cyber Essentials Certification

March 12th, 2018 | Posted by Jennifer Kennedy in Uncategorized

The Government requires all suppliers bidding for contracts involving certain sensitive and personal information to have a certification of security known as Cyber Essentials. This scheme identifies some fundamental technical security controls that an organisation needs to have in place to help defend against Internet-borne threats.

Sheffield Hallam has attained this for the whole University and the certificate and branding can be used when bidding for any contracts which demand it.

If you have any questions about how this should be used or need more information about the Cyber Essentials scheme, please contact: Dave Thornley or  Saul Freeman.
