From the start of term, IT help will be available to staff and students through two new service channels.

IT Help Points

IT help will be available directly from IT specialists at walk-up help points at City and Collegiate every day.  This has been designed primarily as a student-facing service but is also available to staff who wish to use it.

The service is available from 0845-1645 from Monday to Friday in the following locations;

  • City Campus – on level 4 between Howard and Harmer, next to the main staircase overlooking the Atrium.
  • Collegiate Campus – in the Heart of the Campus in the space outside the IT lab to the left of the main reception.

IT Help Chat

Another new way to access IT Help is via live chat (http://go.shu.ac.uk/ithelpchat). This will enable you to get help directly from IT specialists from 0900-1700 from your phone, tablet or PC

IT Help via Phone and Email

And, of course, IT help is still available 24-7 via email (ithelp@shu.ac.uk) and telephone (x3333)

These new channels are designed to increase availability, accessibility and ease-of–use of IT help, irrespective of where in the world you or your students need help.
