Managed Desktop 2015 tested and ready to install

The new version of the managed desktop (the standard suite of software that is installed on University PCs) has been created and tested and is now being used to re-image PCs. Staff PCs that are not being replaced will be automatically updated via a series of patches released during August and September. You can see what software is in the new desktop here.

Packaging and testing of software for teaching rooms for the start of the new academic year is progressing well.  This table shows the progress to date.  Everything is on target to be tested and deployed in order to be ready for teaching.
