Progress on start of teaching

By John Helm, IT Support
Subject group leaders have now fed back about the provisional teaching software list for the start of the academic year and IS&T is packaging and testing the agreed applications so that they are ready to deploy in August. Each piece of software then needs testing by someone who uses it for teaching to make sure it works as expected. If you’ve requested software but are going away during August, please let us know who will be around to check that there are no bugs or issues which might hinder teaching at the start of semester.

We will shortly be issuing a link to our SharePoint site where you will be able to see what software is on the list and the rooms in which it will be installed. You will also be able to see how packaging and deployment are progressing.

See this article for information about the new managed desktop suite of software for 2014-15.
