The time between Easter and September is a busy period for the teams in IS&T who prepare teaching rooms for the new academic year. Over the next few months, these staff will be working out costings, testing pieces of software, replacing audio-visual systems, installing new applications and replacing older PCs to make sure everything is ready in time for the start of Semester 1.

To do all this effectively, they need the help of faculty and directorate staff across the University. It’s particularly important that those academics who require new or updated software for teaching can test it thoroughly to check it all works properly in the way they want to use it before it is installed.

For more information about the software request process and the work involved in delivering it, see our list of frequently asked questions.  If you have any other questions or are concerned about having the right software and equipment for the start of year, please contact IT Help.
