{"id":750,"date":"2017-09-15T12:53:27","date_gmt":"2017-09-15T12:53:27","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/blogs.shu.ac.uk\/hwbstaffnews\/?p=750"},"modified":"2017-09-15T12:53:27","modified_gmt":"2017-09-15T12:53:27","slug":"core-portal-drop-in-sessions","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blogs.shu.ac.uk\/hwbstaffnews\/2017\/09\/15\/core-portal-drop-in-sessions\/","title":{"rendered":"Core Portal drop-in sessions"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>HR are offering drop-in sessions in October as a refresher in all existing Core modules on Core Portal, to include:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>absence management<\/li>\n<li>expenses<\/li>\n<li>recruitment<\/li>\n<li>manager requests<\/li>\n<li>timesheets.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>These workshops coincide with the recent launch of the new Core on-line module to replace the SHU21 absence forms.<\/p>\n<p>From 1 August 2017 the current SHU21 absence process ceased, and has been replaced with new functions in the Core Portal. You can find <a href=\"https:\/\/portal.shu.ac.uk\/departments\/HRD\/coreportal\/coreportalmp\/Pages\/Recording-Sickness-Absence.aspx\" target=\"_blank\">user guides and FAQ&#8217;s<\/a> on the University intranet pages.<\/p>\n<p>If you are a Line Manager you will have received detailed information through the HR Brief about how to access the new functions in Manager Portal for recording sickness absences and a copy of this can be found <a href=\"https:\/\/portal.shu.ac.uk\/departments\/HRD\/SiteCollectionDocuments\/HR%20Brief\/HR%20Brief%20Special%20Edition%20on%20Sickness%20Absence%20July%202017.pdf\" target=\"_blank\">here<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Colleagues from HR and Finance will be at the workshops to answer your questions about Core Portal functions as well as providing a demonstration of the absence process.<\/p>\n<p>If you would like to attend please could you register your interest by booking a place via your employee portal, as the running of these sessions will be subject to minimum numbers.
