The event will be an hour long and will showcase a variety of apps and technologies with the intent of making you aware of them and showing you what they can do rather than getting into too much detail about any particular one.<\/p>\n<p>We will be running 3 sessions:<br \/>\nFriday 8 Sept \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a02pm &#8211; 3:30pm\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 RWB F332<br \/>\nTuesday 12 Sept \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a03pm &#8211; 4:30pm\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 RWB F332<br \/>\nThursday 14 Sept \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a010am &#8211; 11:30am \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 RWB F332<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/docs.google.com\/forms\/d\/e\/1FAIpQLScf6pWQokjTHJWi_f1SrR9K4MCJ1sg-U28Y8J3_IxaK6NNF9A\/viewform\" target=\"_blank\">If you would like to attend then please fill in the form by clicking here.<\/a><\/p>\n<h2>What we will be showcasing<\/h2>\n<h2>Mobile apps<\/h2>\n<p>There are some great free and paid for mobile anatomy apps you could be using in your teaching including the award winning Essential Anatomy 5. We\u2018ll showcase a few that you might find useful.<\/p>\n<h2>Websites<\/h2>\n<p>We will take a look at the latest version of Anatomy.tv which has been revamped and now features real-time 3d anatomical models that can be explored freely. We\u2018ll also take a look at some other free anatomy based websites.<\/p>\n<h2>Virtual Reality<\/h2>\n<p>Using an Oculus Rift Virtual Reality headset we will show how it is possible to explore the anatomical structures of the body like never before. We will showcase Organon VR &#8211; A VR anatomy app that allows you to explore human anatomy in a very exciting way and some custom experiences we have created ourselves showing the bloodstream on a microscopic scale.<\/p>\n<h2>Augmented reality<\/h2>\n<p>Virtualitee have released an app that uses augmented reality to view someones anatomy through the lens of a phones or tablets camera. We\u2018ll show you it in action and let you have a play.<\/p>\n<h2>Custom 3D videos and apps<\/h2>\n<p>The technical resources team has created a variety of custom anatomy resources for various purposes. We will showcase some of these projects from 3d videos to interactive apps.<\/p>\n<h2>Anatomical projection<\/h2>\n<p>Using a small portable projector it is possible to project pieces of anatomy onto real body parts or onto mannequins.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Do you teach anatomy?
