{"id":442,"date":"2017-07-07T09:57:45","date_gmt":"2017-07-07T09:57:45","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/blogs.shu.ac.uk\/hwbstaffnews\/?p=442"},"modified":"2017-07-17T12:01:14","modified_gmt":"2017-07-17T12:01:14","slug":"442","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blogs.shu.ac.uk\/hwbstaffnews\/2017\/07\/07\/442\/","title":{"rendered":"Email to Office 365"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>On Wednesday 5<sup>th<\/sup> July, you will be able to start using the new version of Outlook with:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>a much bigger mailbox (your mailbox size\u00a0 will\u00a0 increase from 550MB to 50GB)<\/li>\n<li>better access from mobile devices.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Instructions for using the new version of Outlook can be found <a href=\"https:\/\/blogs.shu.ac.uk\/istnews\/files\/2016\/05\/Office-365-leaflet-Version-17-interactive-for-blog1.pdf\">here<\/a>.<\/p>\n<h3>What will the changes be?<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>If you are using Outlook from a PC on campus, you may notice an additional login box when you first start Outlook<\/li>\n<li>If you are using Outlook Web App (OWA) you will be able to log in directly at the URL <a href=\"https:\/\/go.shu.ac.uk\/office365\">https:\/\/go.shu.ac.uk\/office365<\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>and using your office 365 login: &lt;yourusername&gt; @hallam.shu.ac.uk\u00a0 and your normal SHU password<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>If you access Outlook from a mobile device, you may need to change your set up so please take a look at the instructions before the day of the move<\/li>\n<li>Emails over 6 months old will be placed in your personal archive folder at the bottom of your folder list.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>What is happening now?<\/h3>\n<p>Preparatory work on your archived e-mail will be taking place in readiness for the migration.\u00a0 You may notice Enterprise Vault disappearing as archived e-mails are moved into Office 365.\u00a0 You may also be asked to login a second time.\u00a0 No e-mails will be lost but while this work is happening, you may not find old emails in the place you expect. You can access your archived e-mails <a href=\"https:\/\/portal.shu.ac.uk\/departments\/IS\/ithelp\/helpme\/Pages\/enterprize_vault_owa.aspx\">here<\/a>. \u00a0Apologies for any issues this causes.
