Holding <strong>Explore!<\/strong> in SHU also helps to break down barriers around the accessibility of universities helping people to step inside an institute of higher education who may not have previously felt able to.&#8217;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Explore!<\/strong> offers interactive exhibitions and stands across both Heartspace and the Hertha Ayrton building. Visitors can learn about everything from fingerprint analysis to robotics and the use of STEM cells in spinal disc regeneration. There is also a programme of mini talks running over the afternoon in the Pennine lecture theatre. This year, visitors can look forward to <strong>Professor Neil Bricklebanks&#8217;<\/strong> talk &#8216;Super Cool&#8217; exploring the curious properties of liquid nitrogen!<\/p>\n<p>Feedback from Explore! 2018 was fantastic and both staff and students are working hard to ensure that the event is even better this year.<\/p>\n<p><em>&#8216;(I particularly enjoyed) understanding the relationship between science and the everyday world.
