The Fund aims to increase the number of students, especially those from under-represented groups and from less-advantaged backgrounds, who participate in mobility abroad.<\/p>\n<p>Students can receive one GoGlobal award once in an academic year to take part in:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>study visits, field trips and other course-related opportunities abroad which are at least five days long and are not already funded by an academic programme;<\/li>\n<li>short-term opportunities abroad such as internships, volunteering or summer work abroad, which are at least two weeks long;<\/li>\n<li>Semester- or year-long study exchanges or work placements abroad which are not fully supported by other means.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>In order to increase the number of students from widening participation group taking part in mobility, we encourage academic staff to develop opportunities for their students.<\/p>\n<p>\u200b<strong>Deadlines for applications in 2018\/19<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>14 September 2018<\/li>\n<li>12 November 2018 (students only)<\/li>\n<li>28 January 2019 (students only)<\/li>\n<li>1 March 2019 (students only<\/li>\n<li>1\u00a0April 2019 (students only and if funding is still available)<\/li>\n<li>3 June 2019 (students only and if funding is still available)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>For full eligibility criteria and the fund&#8217;s terms and conditions, please see <a href=\"\/\/shuspace.shu.ac.uk\/\">Shuspace<\/a> and search for GoGlobal.<\/p>\n<p>Over the coming weeks we will be doing a series of blog posts about Students and Staff that have taken part in opportunities in the last few years.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The GoGlobal Fund is an initiative encouraging students to broaden their horizons and enhance their employability taking part in international activity while studying with us.
