The GDPR is intended to update and strengthen the data protection legislation in EU member states. It replaces the UK Data Protection Act 1998.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>How it affects us at Hallam<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>In a nutshell, the new GDPR requirements will affect all areas of the University which process personal data (from emails to paper records to social media and more) so that\u2019s essentially everyone!
