Hallam expert talks to the BBC ahead of new television deal.\u00a0 <\/strong>Football finance expert Dr Rob Wilson spoke to BBC 5Live<\/a> about the new deal for Premier League television rights, which is expected to exceed \u00a36bn today. The last deal saw an increase of 70% and Dr Wilson gives his thoughts on the expected increase this time around, which will see more than 200 live games broadcast from the 2019\/20 season, and whether digital companies like Amazon may make a bid for the rights. Further coverage for Hallam’s football finance experts who have been discussing the new TV rights deal for the English Premier League. <\/strong>Dr Rob Wilson spoke to BBC World Service<\/span><\/a> [listen again from 16:10] about why the Premier League has seen a decline in the bid for rights to broadcast matches in the UK.\u00a0 In total BT and Sky bid \u00a34.4bn to screen 200 games for each season between 2019 and 2022, falling short of the \u00a35.1bn agreed in 2015.<\/p>\n
