Our traditional FPS Christmas event was once again a right cracker! Colleagues from every team in Technical Services, Business Support, Research and Student Services came together to take on Gill and Jayne\u2019s Quiz and games\u2026\u2026just don\u2019t mention the buzz words!<\/span><\/p>\n

This year we introduced the Great Christmas Fake Off where teams were asked to create a Christmas dinner using Plasticine. Each dinner plate had to consist of all 9 items described by the team names such as, The Soggy Sprouts, The Piggy Blankets and the Toasty Roasties! <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

We had some amazing creations \u201cWatch out Toby Carvery\u201d and when we \u201cThe Judges\u201d narrowed it down to the final 3, we asked 1 member from each team to perform a mini speech to sell their Christmas Dinner. Vicky Daley from RWB Helpdesk smashed her pitch for the Saucy Cranberries to scoop top spot but we cannot go without mentioning Darren Wall\u2019s hilarious account on behalf of the Piggy Blankets!<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

A huge well done to the Perky Parsnips who claimed the crown as overall competition winners! Tom, Andrew, James and co. from Technical Services were just too good in every round. <\/span><\/p>\n

Despite you all being such a noisy bunch, we thoroughly enjoyed the afternoon and some people even learnt that Paris is not a country! We do however need to speak with Philip Wain to recommend that we spend some of the FPS training and development budget on listening skills in the new year! Everyone was having so much fun no one could hear the instructions! The \u201cGuess the gift\u201d game was total chaos!! <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n
