{"id":749,"date":"2019-02-04T19:00:18","date_gmt":"2019-02-04T19:00:18","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/blogs.shu.ac.uk\/employabilityplan\/?page_id=749"},"modified":"2020-06-09T13:36:59","modified_gmt":"2020-06-09T13:36:59","slug":"highly-skilled-employment","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/blogs.shu.ac.uk\/highlyskilledemployment\/highly-skilled-employment\/","title":{"rendered":"Highly Skilled Employment"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The Highly Skilled Employment Commitment (HSE) includes the following components:<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Work Experience<\/li>\n<li>Digital Skills<\/li>\n<li>Career Readiness<\/li>\n<li>Graduate Attributes<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 13px\">These 4 components were a direct result of primary consultation with students, employers, academics and secondary research of competitors and sector specialists.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p>The 2017 Employability Plan established a basis for how this has grown, and continues to be strengthened in faculties through the Employability Partnership Agreements (EPAs).\u00a0 We continue to work within our\u00a0<strong><a href=\"https:\/\/careerscentral.shu.ac.uk\/sites\/default\/files\/pdffiles\/CES%20statement%20of%20service%202017-18.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Employability Promise<\/a><\/strong> (a service level commitment) that every student will be prepared for highly skilled employment or further study upon graduation &#8211; delivered through an innovative, impactful and co<span style=\"font-size: 13px\">nsistent employability offer<\/span><span style=\"font-size: 13px\">.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>Each<span style=\"font-size: 13px\"> component part will be brought to life at every level of a course in a way that best meets the needs of that course and their students.\u00a0 Our students will be career ready.\u00a0 They will be exposed to employers in a safe and supported way. They will also develop their networks, apply their learning through a placement, be able to articulate their graduate attributes and have a series of digital skills.
