The 5 Ways to Wellbeing
Wellbeing is about feeling good, happy and content and functioning well, with positive social relationships, a sense of purpose and of having some control over our lives.
The New Economics Foundation (NEF) was commissioned to develop a set of actions that reflected key findings from research.  The resulting  actions can be shown to improve personal wellbeing, increase self-esteem and help us to deal with difficulties and challenges.

The 5 Ways to Wellbeing are similar to the five portions of fruit and vegetables that we have been advised to eat daily in order to keep physically healthy.  If carried out regularly, they will help to maintain psychological health.  They are simple actions that we can introduce into our daily lives:
