Leadership Development Programmes

Our Leadership development programmes seek to enable leaders and managers to take responsibility for their own leadership development, to learn from and  support the development of others and translate learning into performance.

Hallam Leaders’ Programme Understanding what great leadership looks and feels like and how it can be applied to your role.

A 12 month leadership development programme

For first line managers and course leaders to senior middle managers/deputy heads of department and research centres. (typically Grade 6 to SSG 1).
Senior Leaders’ Programme: strategic leadership in your area Strengthening the strategic leadership role for those with ultimate accountability in their professional services or academic area. Heads of Dept. Heads of Research Centres and Professional Services Equivalents.
Leadership and Management Apprenticeships The University is pleased to offer 5 places to Professional Services and Academic staff on each of 4 Sheffield Business School apprenticeship programmes, starting in Autumn 2018  For the MBAs and MAs, applicants must be Grade 7 or above. For the Diploma, priority will be given to those at G6 or below, but applications will also be accepted from those at Grades 7 and 8
Aurora: future women leaders Aurora is the women-only leadership development initiative launched in Autumn 2013 by the Leadership Foundation for Higher Education (LFHE) and supported internally Participants must be a female member of staff employee at Grade 8/Senior lecturer or lower, NOT currently in a leadership position.
Hallam Leaders’ Community A programme of internal and external leadership development events which can be attended on a voluntary basis For any staff member who is interested in leadership development.
