To focus upon versatile communication tools and techniques that can be applied across a range of situations and which will support the achievement of positive outcomes.
Objectives:
By the end of the session learners will be able to:

- Define what is meant by an effective conversation
- Identify situations and opportunities to apply tools and techniques that will contribute to a positive outcome from a conversation.
- Apply tools and techniques to a range of situations relevant to their specific needs.
- Prepare and plan to use appropriate tools and techniques to a conversation they are facing in the near future.
- Recognise the applicability of the tools and techniques to a wide range of situations.
