Aim
This course specifically supports those aspiring to a first supervisory/ management role to understand the key skills and responsibilities, identify their development needs and to action plan how they will meet them.

Objectives
By the end of the session participants will be able to:

  • Explain the role of the team leader and the skills required in the role
  • Describe how preferred Leadership styles affect leadership effectiveness.
  • DemonstrateĀ the key skills of a team leader and received feedback
  • Describe and demonstrate feedback skills
  • Utilise a network with other aspiring team leaders across the University
