It’s been just over a month since ticket bookings first went live for the 2019 Graduation Ceremonies here at Hallam, so it’s time for a few updates to see how the month is going!
Firstly, we want to remind you that tickets are notbooked on a first-come, first-serve basis and if you’re still waiting for some results you won’t be able to book yet – so if you’re still unable to book please don’t worry! Everybody has the chance to book the amount of tickets they want before the booking deadline closes on 25th October 2019. We’ll send you an email as soon as you can book. After 25th October, we spend the weekend allocating tickets fairly to all students, so that by Monday 28th October, you should have an email confirming what you have been allocated.
Now time for some facts!
How many students have been cleared?
10,112 students have been cleared to book (so far) for the 2018/9 graduation ceremonies.
How many people have booked so far?
3,403 students have booked for graduation.
14,498 guests have booked for graduation.
How long do we have left?
Graduation booking is OPEN for another 52 days (until 25th October).
Any questions please take a look at our website or if you need to speak to someone contact the Graduation Office on firstname.lastname@example.org.
Graduation bookings opened 3 weeks ago, and last year we posted our first ever video to help with your gown bookings.
We tend to get a few questions about ordering the gowns, specifically when Ede & Ravenscroft ask for the measurements of your head & chest to ensure that the gown and hat will fit. All your queries should be answered in the video below, and we really hope that it is useful!
For any further information on booking your gown, please visit the gowns, photos and videos page on our brand new and updated website.
Graduation is just around the corner, and we’re counting down the days before our ceremonies begin next week. I’ll be graduating from the BA (Hons) English Language course on Monday and I’m really looking forward to seeing everyone there!
Since finishing university, I’ve been working in the Development and Alumni Relations Office (DARO), and I can safely say that the team have a lot planned for us graduates! From receiving some free Hallam merchandise, to entering social media competitions, here are some of the things that you can get involved in during your time at City Hall:
Post your graduation pictures on Twitter and Instagram using the hashtag #WeAreHallam to receive a FREE photo print from us. Collect downstairs at City Hall
Pick up our Snapchat Geofilter at City Hall and Barkers Pool
Get your hands on some free Graduation 2018 merchandise
Enter our Facebook competitions to win fantastic prizes, worth £300!
Find out about what it means to be an alumni and what support is available to you after graduating
The DARO team will be based in the City Hall’s ballroom, and you’ll be able to find us by spotting the giant inflatable Hallam ‘H’ that you can take your celebratory photos with – make sure to come and say hello!
We hope you all have a memorable day. Roll on graduation fortnight 😊
