{"id":2149,"date":"2020-07-14T20:50:51","date_gmt":"2020-07-14T19:50:51","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/blogs.shu.ac.uk\/goglobal\/?p=2149"},"modified":"2020-07-14T21:22:36","modified_gmt":"2020-07-14T20:22:36","slug":"global-research-internship-canada","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blogs.shu.ac.uk\/goglobal\/2020\/07\/14\/global-research-internship-canada\/","title":{"rendered":"Global Research Internship &#8211; Canada"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The <a href=\"https:\/\/www.mitacs.ca\/en\/programs\/globalink\/globalink-research-internship\">Globalink Research Internship<\/a>, provides a 12-week research project at Canadian universities for high-achieving senior undergraduates from around the world and is accepting student applications starting in early August 2020.<\/p>\n<p>Starting in May 2021, approved students will travel to Canada, where they\u2019ll work with a faculty supervisor and other researchers at their host universities. You will receive:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Stipend for living expenses<\/li>\n<li>Professional development workshops<\/li>\n<li>Local Globalink Mentors<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Students from all academic disciplines are welcome to apply. Project outlines will be available prior to call for applications.<\/p>\n<p>If you are interested in being nominated for this unique undergraduate research opportunity, please email your Programme Lead at Sheffield Hallam University in order to be nominated, <strong>no later than 6<sup>th<\/sup> August 2020. Email your Student ID, Name, and SHU course title to <\/strong><a href=\"mailto:r.mills@shu.ac.uk\"><strong>r.mills@shu.ac.uk<\/strong><\/a><strong> .
