Walk to the Peak District

Sheffield is well known for being a beautiful place to live and visit, but did you know that it is also the greenest city in Europe?

With that in mind, we thought it’d be a fantastic idea to take a trip to the Peak District and walk around some of the most scenic landscapes that the UK has to offer.

We would recommend that you wear comfortable walking shoes, a picnic and waterproof clothes – although it’s the summer, it can sometimes rain!

One of our students will lead the walk, and you will need to meet them at 10am on Sunday 23 July outside the main University entrance. This event is free of charge.

Tramlines Festival 2017

Tramlines is the biggest and best festival in Sheffield, and it’s almost here!

From Friday 21–Sunday 23 July, Sheffield comes alive with a whole range of music and activities spread across the city centre. It’s a fantastic chance to check out some new and local acts, and also catch some bigger established artists on the main stage, including the Libertines and Primal Scream.

Pubs and venues across the city will be putting on nights and events, so keep an eye on the main website to keep up to date with what’s going on.

In order to get into the main stage, you need to buy tickets, which you can get here.
