The Bridge – Skills Support

TheBridgeHeader

The Bridge is the skills support centre above Adsetts Library café. We run sessions on all sorts of topics, from improving your writing to stats help.

The University English Scheme (UES):

We offer:

  • 90 minute non-credit academic English classes
  • 30 minute one-to-one appointments with a LAS tutor – book a place
  • Grammar and pronunciation workshops
  • 5 week writing courses on dissertations and assignments
  • Masterclass – for students unfamiliar with studying at university level

These sessions run throughout the year, so if you’re ever in need of support, then the Bridge is a fantastic resource to use.

Students’ Union Societies

One of the best ways to meet people with the same interests – or to try something completely new – is to join one of the union’s societies.

There are over 40 to choose from, covering everything from darts to films and rock music to cheerleading. And if you can’t find the one you want, they’ll help you start your own.

It’s a fantastic way to meet students from the UK and abroad, and can help you to develop new and interesting skills too!

More information can be found on the Students’ Union’s website.
