As head of the UK’s leading mobile and fixed communications businesses across the BT, BT Sport, EE and Plusnet brands, Marc is ultimately responsible for connecting more than 30 million people to the internet – and to each other.

Marc believes BT has a responsibility beyond connecting people. He is leading BT into a new chapter, with a new purpose of breaking down barriers and unlocking potential for everyone in the UK – no matter who they are – and an unprecedented range of new products, services and skills programmes. Part of that ambition is teaching tech skills to 10 million people in the UK through BT’s Skills for Tomorrow programme, which will give five million school children the digital skills they need for a brighter future.

Marc is also driving the launch of the next generation of connectivity to keep the UK at the forefront of new technology: last May, EE was the first operator in the UK, and one of the first in Europe, to launch 5G – creating a faster, more reliable mobile experience even in the busiest locations. 5G from EE is now live in 50 cities and large towns, more places than any other UK operator.

Previously, Marc was COO of EE. In 10 years at Three, he was a driving force behind their growth from start-up to a major player in the mobile market. Prior to that, Marc was general manager of Sega UK.

Marc has a Bachelor’s degree in International business studies from Sheffield Hallam University, where he graduated in 1995. In 2011, Marc completed the senior executive programme at the London Business School. He is a member of the Great Ormond Street Hospital corporate partnerships board and mentor to a number of tech start-ups. Marc is a fan of Liverpool FC, a keen tennis player and manager of the Valley End Under-14 cricket team.
