Sheffield Hallam are constantly updating and investing in our facilities, creating vibrant, modern, flexible spaces that benefit our staff, students and visitors.
Alongside specific projects, our investment in long-term maintenance and extensive refurbishments of existing buildings means we keep a consistent level of quality across our estate.
The Robert Winston Building Annexe
Opened in February 2018 the Robert Winston Building Annexe provides flexible learning spaces for our students in the faculties of Health & Wellbeing and Social Sciences & Humanities at Collegiate Campus.
Hertha Ayrton STEM Centre
Opened in April 2017 the Hertha Ayrton STEM Centre is an £11 million refurbishment of our Sheaf and Eric Mensforth buildings which will provide the very best in learning and teaching spaces, alongside a striking new atrium for Engineering and Chemistry.
20 Furnival Street
Opened March 2017.
Charles Street
A brand new £32 million building on Charles Street, in the city centre. Opened in April 2016 and housing the Sheffield Institute of Education and provides state of the art student, staff and event space.
Sheffield Institute of Arts
In January 2016 a new home for the Sheffield Institute of Arts in the iconic Old Post Office Building in Sheffield was opened; a great place to celebrate our heritage as a flag-ship school of art and design.
Heart of the Campus
Opened in Autumn 2014, the £27 million Heart of the Campus, at Collegiate Crescent, opened in autumn 2014, housing students and staff from law, politics, sociology and psychology courses, and providing informal learning and catering spaces for everyone on campus.
Bryan Nicholson Building
The creation of an exemplary office building to demonstrate our capabilities for agile working in the Bryan Nicholson Building was opened in November 2014.
SHU Sports Park
This a 22-acre Sports Park opened in Autumn 2013 following a £6 million redevelopment.
