In August, the Sensory Evaluation Suite was transformed into a new and improved hub for departmental staff and students. Modern LED lighting has been installed across all of the rooms, and most importantly to the tasting booths which is a key space in the evaluation process, along with new flooring in the meeting room, new ceilings, and a hygienic wall finish in the kitchen space which has improved an already excellent space further.

The area is used for food handling and consumption; it therefore needs to comply with the Food Safety Act and attendant legislation.  The investment provided the opportunity to not only ensure this compliance with legislative requirements but also to enhance the hygiene and aesthetic standards of each area. All the changes have improved the current environment and will provide an excellent infrastructure to support learning and teaching.
