Following our initial update earlier this morning, we believe that no cladding has fallen from St Paul’s Tower, Arundel Gate has been closed as a precaution following a report of faulty or loose cladding.

How to get in and out of Stoddart Building?

To gain entry to the building there are three exits to the rear of Stoddart Building;

  1. through the car park at the corner of Charles Street and Eyre Lane,
  2. on Eyre Lane opposite Tesco Express
  3. on Howard Street opposite Tesco Express

These three entrance/exits will be manned by staff from Sheffield Business School, Estates, Facilities Management, Security, Helpdesk.

In the case of emergency

No access will be permitted through the main entrance to the building on Arundel Gate. In case of an emergency, there are four ways to exit the building;

  1. fire escape onto Arundel Gate – you will be escorted to the Assembly/Muster point in front of Charles Street
  2. through the car park at the corner of Charles Street and Eyre Lane
  3. on Eyre Lane opposite Tesco Express
  4. on Howard Street opposite Tesco Express

The Stoddart Building Assembly point is at the top of Howard Street, or in front of Charles Street in this instance. Please see map below.
