Planned improvement works to Broomhall Road is now complete, meaning new restrictions are in place for vehicle access around Collegiate Campus.

Sheffield City Council started construction on the trial one-way system between Park Lane & Victoria Road in January 2018. The scheme will remain in place for up to 18 months, and the council will monitor its success. They will be collecting traffic counts over the next 12 months, and feedback from on the ground will also be welcomed; if you have any comments about the scheme please contact !EstatesPMO@shu.ac.uk and we can collate responses for the council.

 

The aim of the scheme is to reduce the amount of traffic cutting through to Clarkehouse Road and create a better environment for walking and cycling.

  • One-way system on Broomhall Road between Park Lane and Victoria Road – in the direction of Hanover Way
  • Two-way cycle route on Broomhall Road
  • Remove long stay parking on Broomhall Road / Street to improve safety for cyclists
  • Widen footpaths to improve walking links
