On Friday 10 July, the first ‘Let’s get Comfortable Talking about Race’ event took place, facilitated by leadership coach and former senior leader in the Police Service, Kul Mahay. The event was a huge success with over 134 members of staff taking part. If you weren’t able to make it, the session was recorded and has also been made available on the EDI intranet pages.

Masters Degree Apprenticeships

With PDR and objective setting around the corner, have you considered a Masters Degree Apprenticeship? The University has level 7 apprenticeships available in Senior Leadership, Facilities Management, Architecture, Town Planning, Data Analytics and Software Engineering. The next intake is September 2020.

Apprenticeships are a good way to enhance your leadership skills and boost your earning potential, without taking a break in your career. Your manager would need to allow you roughly half a day per week to work on your assignments and portfolio. For details please contact business@shu.ac.uk.
