Meet the team – Strategic Procurement

We are a team of 8 (maternity leave permitting)

What do we do?

We develop procured solutions to the emerging and recurrent needs which help deliver the Transforming Lives strategy.

We manage tenders (going out to competition for supplies/services) between potential suppliers to the University.

We are responsible for encouraging stakeholders to achieve value for money.

We provide advice and guidance to ensure the University meets its legislative duties in relation to what it buys.

We support stakeholders to contract manage the relationships they have with suppliers and provide commercial knowhow to maximise the value from the relationship.

We analyse expenditure and purchasing practice to ensure the tools we use facilitate purchasing activity across the university. This is a particular focus. We know we can do more.

How do you find us

We are on the top floor of the Oneleven building close to the kitchen, follow the noise it’ll be Liz and Rachel.
