There’s still time to vote for your finance staff rep. Voting closes at the end of today so get your votes in if you haven’t already.
Our Equality Objectives
Last month the Equality, Diversity and Inclusion Team launched their equality objectives, which are a 3 year plan for the University.
- To bring about a step change in race diversity and equality
- To continue to eradicate gender disparities
- To ensure an inclusive accessible and open working and learning environment for all staff and students
As part of that launch they had a factsheet hand-out created which has some pretty striking information on it did you know…
- At SHU there is an attainment gap of 18% between BAME and white students gaining a higher degree classification
- 2.4% of staff at Hallam declare their sexual orientation as LGB
- SHU have an above average percentage of professors who are female 29% vs 22% (in the sector)

PSOM update now available to view

Travel to work survey
If you haven’t filled it in already the travel to work survey closes on the 14th March. There is an opportunity to win your share of £100 of high street vouchers so surely its worth filling in?
Rescheduled Transforming Lives Session – 19th March
The Transforming Lives sessions give staff the opportunity to hear updates directly from the project leads on the strategy implementation plan happening every day at Hallam. There will also be the opportunity to ask any questions you may have.
