Thank you to Nicola Green for her post on the recent EA/PA conference.
At the end of September, Gill and I were part of a steering group who delivered our Inaugural EA/PA Autumn Conference. This event was open to all Executive and Personal Assistants from all areas of the University.
The morning commenced with the Vice-Chancellor opening the event with a Welcome Address, followed by an IT session on the capabilities of One Note and One Drive focussing on working more paper light. After a quick break, we continued with a wellbeing section looking at resilience training during periods of change.
The afternoon session was delivered by an external training facilitator, Adam Fidler who specialises in training executive and personal assistants. The sessions focused on Getting More Strategic, Developing the more managerial mind-set and Elevating the future of the role and finishing with a session on Project Management.
The day concluded with Richard Calvert delivering closing remarks.
Although a long day, colleagues left feeling resilient and inspired to help drive us through the upcoming periods of change.
