It’s that time of the month again, although it feels like we have been in October forever, the first blog of the month always includes the calendar photo winner: thanks to Gemma Lancaster for this perfect autumnal snap!
So right into it we have a fair bit to get through this week what with our blogs only being fortnightly these days…
Your Views Survey
Thank you to everyone who has contributed to the ‘Your Views Survey’ at the time of writing this Finance have a 100 % completion rate and Planning have a 90% completion rate which is an absolutely exceptional result.
Deborah be sending out some comms by the 27th October with the results of the survey and what our next steps will be.
Team Photo Competition
Another thank you to those of you who have submitted your entries, they’re fab.
Don’t forget that the competition closes at the end of the month so only 2 weeks left to submit!
The competition is really hot!
FD News Archive
So someone in FD has been really busy, they have created an archive of all of their news dating back to autumn 1995! After a quick squiz of the Autumn 1995 issue there’s a picture of Alex Pettifer and what looks like his top team, an update on the hose pipe ban (do we even have them anymore?) and letters from staff which were submitted to the editors… it all seems like an age gone by… Check it out here!
Mental Health Hub
This week we had ‘World Mental Health Day’. This years’ theme is Mental Health in the workplace and in support of this the University has created a Mental Health Hub on the staff wellbeing site.
There are resources available to staff on the hub which aims to centralise all existing mental health support in the University from 1-2-1 confidential support to guidance for manager when supporting teams.
There are also two new training courses offered to staff via CORE portal: “Mental Health First Aid” and “Mental Health & Wellbeing: Supporting your staff”.
PSOM Events Phase 2
Just a quick reminder, if you haven’t managed to make it to any of the PSOM phase 2 events there is one more taking place on Monday at Collegate you can book here.
And finally…. £1 Wednesday is back people!
The single most exciting day of the autumn so far… not only is it payday but it’s £1 Wednesday too! I know there will be a few i’ll see in the burrito queue at lunch time!
