While the University has been sleeping over the holidays the Sustainability team have been very busy.
We’ve said good-bye to Katie Jones and welcomed Amy Dalrymple as the new student placement.
The University has been successful in retaining its ISO 14001 Environmental Management Systems and ISO 50001 Energy Management Systems accreditation standards, which is excellent news.
We have been nominated in 2 categories in the Food Made Good Awards 2017. The nominations are in the ‘Value Natural Resource’ and the ‘Treating Staff Fairly’ categories. These are amongst some high profile names. For more information on our submissions and the other nominees, click here.
In Finance we love a quiz so there is a “SHU Waste Quiz” which you will all love! If you take the quiz please let me have your feedback as it may be used as an educational tool in the future to inform staff/students of how we can recycle our waste effectively.
As September is “Cycle September” there’s plenty of information on upcoming events for the cyclists amongst us.
