The Friday Feeling – 21/07/17

So this is one baby that is yet to learn that Friday Feeling!

We wanted to let you know that Anna Gunn who used to work in Finance, and now works in HWB had Jasper Rupert in the early hours of Sunday morning weighing a healthy 7lb7oz. Both Anna and Jasper are doing well and are settling in to life back home.

Wimbledon Party

The event raised a massive £200 and the Charity Group wanted to thank everyone again for their participation in their final fundraising event to mark one year with Amy’s House.

Making a Difference

FD’s campaign for nominations for their staff in their making a difference awards closes tonight at 5pm – this is your last chance to show your appreciation!

Outdoor City – Walking

Last week we were late adding Paul Manchester’s entry about walking, we have added it to the article now, so if you missed it it is worth checking out as he has shared some useful websites with us, if you fancy a ramble yourself.

Prevent

If you have concerns that a vulnerable individual is being exploited, it is important that staff and students know how to raise the concern so that any necessary action may be taken. You may find it helpful to undertake the short Prevent training course for more information- you can do this electronically by emailing Richard Hughes in HR or in person via core.

What’s on?

  • ‘What Makes a World Champion?’ is an event being held on Tuesday (25 July) from 6pm.  Sheffield’s own Olympic silver medallist, Bryony Page, will join a panel of experts from Hallam to discuss what it takes to be a world champion athlete. You can find out more, or book on.
  • Tramlines – this weekend is all about music in the city. You don’t need a ticket (but if you want one contact Lizzie Morgan asap) to pop along, with lots of free entry venues and live music. If you are around don’t forget to pop to the Red Lion on Saturday 7pm, or the Green Room at 5:15 Sunday.
