Building a Great University

SHU and the Olympic Legacy Park

Planning permission for the AWRC (Advanced Wellbeing Research centre) has now been submitted to Sheffield City Council and will form the centrepiece of Sheffield’s Olympic Legacy Park (OLP).
Delivered by the University in partnership with Legacy Park Ltd, the AWRC is set to become the most advanced research and development centre for physical activity in the world. The key facility is supported by UK Government, who have committed £14million of funding to the project.

Tomorrow, Sunday and Monday you can go and watch a classic film canal-side at Victoria Quays. Tickets are free but you will need to book.
 Get your Dance on
This Saturday in the Peace Gardens you can take your ‘Chance to Dance’.  An annual community dance festival held in the city centre – with lots of demonstrations and chances to join dance groups from across the city.
