Hi everyone,
As over the next few weeks your Engagement Champion will be asking you for some feedback on our actions, I thought this was a very apt quote this week!
Volunteering Survey
The Volunteering survey is open for another week – please make sure you complete it if you think you would like to spend a day Volunteering this year.
Comic Relief
Rosalind is once again picking up the baton to do some fundraising for Comic Relief. You can enter the sweepstake (£2), and wear red on the day (£1).
Easy Fundraising App
If you like to do your online shopping on your phone, you can now download the easyfundraising app from the App store or Play store on your phone for free – get shopping and raise money for Amy’s House!
Your email will be changing soon
During 2017, the University staff email system will be moving to a new version of Outlook (in Office 365). This will give individuals considerably larger mailbox space as well as easier access from mobile devices such as tablets and mobile phones. We will make sure we keep you updated, in the mean time you can read a bit more here.
Rail Strike
In case you have missed it, here is a reminder of the Northern rail train strike on Monday 13th March. Click here to find the latest on the planned disruptions.
SHUFest Quiz night
Wednesday night saw the annual SHUFest Quiz, which raises money for FD’s nominated charity Cavendish Cancer Care. Our Finance and Planning exec team went along, as well as some of Service Improvement and Gill Beck and Sharon Sayles also entered a team.
It was a great night, and when it was clear none of the Finance teams were going to win – of course we found another competition – to see who could be Finance top dog!
Service Improvement took the crown – with our winning knowledge of celebrities and sport!!
It would be great to get some more teams involved next year!
