The University’s Green Champions January 2017 roundup newsletter is out now, but I have picked out some of the highlights to share with you all.

Travel to work survey 2017

“On Wednesday 8^th February we saw the launch of the 2017 staff travel to work survey, as advertised in this month’s Green Champion Newsletter. The survey assesses progress made against the 2016 baseline for staff travel.

Results from the survey may also support future business cases for improved staff travel discounts and travel initiatives.

Participants of the survey have a chance to win either:

 1 x £50 high street voucher

2 x £25 high street voucher

In the 2016 baseline survey Finance Directorate staff were well represented.  Make sure you have your say and complete the survey, it will only take a few minutes and the results will help to highlight the areas where improvements and support can be made in the future.

The survey is open until March 3. 

 Fairtrade Fortnight

The Green Champion’s Newsletter this month also includes information about the forthcoming Fairtrade Fortnight which will be held between 27^th February and 12^th March.  There are various events planned , including a Fairtrade Wine tasting event at Hallam View on the evening of Thursday 2^nd March.
